It is in awakening that one becomes aware of his dreams; before so, all was real to the senses and there were no thoughts otherwise. For those that sleep, all that is real is before them just as when awake. There are then those who have come to realise the nature of their dreams whilst still asleep, it is those we call the lucid dreamers. Can such a state of lucidity exist in the land of the non-sleeping ones?
The world of the non-sleeping ones can be likened to a dream wherein, the only awakening is death! Yet, there are some in this land of the non-sleeping ones that have come to realise the true nature surrounding the dream of reality. They have become like the lucid dreamers, still dreaming but had become aware of their dreams and in so doing they fear not death. The lucid dreamers in the land of the non-sleeping ones are called the Enlightened or Sage, and likened to the lucid dreamers in the land of sleep who have the will to control and morph their dreams. So it is with the Enlightened Ones seem to bend the very fabric of the real.
The enlightened being seemingly perform wonders that amazes and confounds the masses, speak in ways like he is not of this world and that riddles the mind. He seems to possess great wisdom. Others aspire to be like the enlightened man, seeking for the teachings of the nature of their art but, there are no teachings to be had; there is no art. The man who sleeps has no methods to his dreaming, he simply dreams! The lucid dreamer simply realises the dream and embraces the reality. The enlightened man simply does the ordinary for he has realised the dream of the non-sleeping ones.
